International Conference on Corporate Governance in Moldova's
Banking and Financial Sector - Chisinau, April 26, 2012

Ways to strengthen the corporate governance in Moldova’s financial sector were being discussed on 26 April 2012 at a conference organised in Moldova’s capital Chisinau by the EFSE, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the National Bank of Moldova and the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

The conference presented international best practices in corporate governance, analysed key areas for improvement in current procedures in Moldova and highlighted measures needed to overcome current shortfalls.

The conference gathered Moldovan authorities, including the governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Dorin Dragutanu, and the Vice Minister of Economy, Octavian Calmic, as well as representatives of international financial institutions, donor agencies and top management of local banks and non-banking institutions. /Source/
