THE REGULAR EVALUATION MISSION OF THE IMF TO WORK IN MOLDOVA SINCE OCTOBER 22

Chisinau, October 15, INTERLIC. On October 22-30 the regular Evaluation Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will work in Moldova, and on October 23-25 Director of Department Europe II of the IMF John Odling-Smee will visit our republic.

According to the Permanent Representative of the IMF in the Republic of Moldova Edgardo Rugiero, the purpose of the Mission consists in estimation of the achieved progress as of the end of September, consideration of the macroeconomic prognostications. Representatives of the IMF will study also drafts state budget and the budget of social insurance for 2003.

The various questions concerning forthcoming visit of the IMF Mission were discussed today at a meeting of the Permanent Representative of the IMF in the RM Edgardo Rugiero with Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev. Premier stated that the RM government pays especial attention to relations with the IMF and will fulfill all obligations taken on
before this organization.
 


 DE LA 22 OCTOMBRIE IN MOLDOVA VA ACTIVA MISIUNEA ORDINARA DE EVALUARE A FMI

Chisinau, 16 octombrie, INTERLIC. De la 22 pina la 30 octombrie in Moldova va activa Misiunea ordinara de evaluare a Fondului Monetar International, iar de la 23 pina la 25 octombrie in republica se va afla in vizita directorul Departamentului Europa II al FMI John Odling-Smee.

Potrivit spuselor reprezentantului permanent al FMI in RM Edgardo Rugiero, scopul Misiunii expertilor Fondului consta in evaluarea progresului inregistrat pina la sfirsitul lunii septembrie, examinarea prognozelor macroeconomice. Reprezentantii FMI vor mai analiza proiectele bugetului de stat si bugetului asigurarilor sociale de stat pe anul 2003.

In cadrul intrevederii de astazi a reprezentantului permanent al FMI in RM Edgardo Rugiero cu Primul ministru Vasile Tarlev au fost examinate diverse chestiuni ce vizeaza viitoarea vizita a Misiunii FMI. Premierul a declarat in cadrul ei ca Guvernul RM acorda o atentie sustinuta relatiilor cu FMI si va onora toate angajamentele, asumate fata de acest organism.
